LG Electronics Gulf FZE (LGEGF), the sales subsidiary of LG Electronics, Inc. in the United Arab Emirates celebrated the 10th anniversary of its establishment by hosting a gala dinner & function on November 21st at Hotel Renaissance in Dubai.
Invited guests included His Excellency Mr. J J Lee, Ambassador of the Korean Embassy in the UAE as well as major partners & customers from all GCC countries such as Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar & representatives from CIS markets such as Armenia & Azerbaijan. Mr. Arvind Nair, CEO, Jumbo Electronics, one of the largest electronic chains in the UAE and distributors of LG Mobile Phones was also present for the occasion. President of other LG subsidiaries in the Middle East region also joined the celebrations.
Mr. C H Lee, President of LGEGF presented a brief history and achievement of the organization which is on target to achieve a sales turnover of around U$ 330 million in 2006. LGEGF has strongly established the LG brand in the key geographic markets of the GCC & is a leading player in such important categories of Plasma TV, LCD TV, Notebook PC & Mobile Phone.
Muna, the leading Korean fusion music group performed for the entertainment of the audience and it was followed by a thrilling Indian dance performed by local employees which was greatly appreciated by the guests & audience.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rakesh Shah, General Manager, Al Yousuf Electronics, congratulated LGEGF on their splendid performance & achievements in the last 10 years and thanked LGEGF for their tremendous help & support in promoting their business in the UAE. “I would like to take this opportunity to wish LGEGF great success in the future as well and wish them best of luck in their efforts to achieve their vision of achieving U$ 800 million sales turnover by 2010.
In concluding remarks, Mr. K W Kim, President, Middle East & Africa, LG Electronics, Inc., thanked all the partners & customers for their continuous support to LG and promised that LG would continue to deliver leading edge products providing great opportunities to expand their local business.
